People's Deputy of Ukraine Marian Zablotskyi will speak at UGW conference, which will be held on February 24. The politician will take part in a panel discussion on the “Intricacies of regulating gambling business in Ukraine”.
As part of the discussion of policies, together with other experts, he will analyze the provisions of the law that regulates gambling in Ukraine. During the discussion, they will also consider issues related to tax obligations of gambling operators and the protection of player data. The advantages of developing the industry in the legal field will be analyzed additionally.
Marian is a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th session, a member of the Servant of the People faction. The politician is a Head of the Subcommittee on Local Taxes and Duties of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy. Holds the position of Deputy Head of the permanent delegation to the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.
The speaker has a PhD in Economics. Prior to being elected to the parliament, he held executive positions at Optima Capital and ErsteBank. He headed the Ukrainian Society of Economic Freedoms and the Center for Effective Legislation, substituted the Chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Association. He was also the Head of the Public Council working under the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy.
Marian participated in the creation of about 50 draft normative legal acts, 12 of them were adopted by People's Deputies of the 7th and 8th sessions. In addition, he was involved in the development of proposals for amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine adopted in 2016-2018.
